Time.com has a nice article entitledWhy the Future of Television is Lost. The article talks about how the Internet has contributed to the success of the show by giving the real die-hard fans a way to exchange information with each other, and then help spread the word to the “regular” fans of the show about some of the interesting things they’ve found.
Evangeline Lilly, Kate on LOST, didn’t plan on becoming an actress. In fact, she just stumbled into it while she was studying international relations. She was approached by someone from the Ford modeling agency, literally on the street, to become a model, but she turned it down at the time. Later, when she wanted to earn some extra cash, she went to the Ford agency and signed up as an actress. She played bit parts in various commercials, movies and television shows until she landed on the island with LOST.
Mike Antonucci, over in the comments section pointed out that yet ANOTHER “LOST” star
has ended up in jail for problems behind the wheel, but has been released, according to the Star Bulletin:
Police arrested Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Mr. Eko on the ABC television series "Lost," in Waikiki early Saturday morning for a traffic violation.
He’s the third person from the cast to be arrested, and the SIXTH to have gotten into trouble for driving problems!
Someone’s got to sit down with these folks and tell them to cool it.
Thanks for pointing me to this article, Mike!
Michelle Rodriguez, the actress who played Ana Lucia on LOST, was scheduled to be in jail for 60 days, but spent less than one day there before being released. The reason? Prison overcrowding. She still has to complete 30 days of community service.
