SPOILERS AHEAD. Don\u2019t read unless you\u2019ve seen everything through \u201cOzymadias\u201d and the preview for next week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the things they say that writer\u2019s should do is put their characters into really difficult situations, and figure a satisfying way out for them. A writer should do that throughout a book, but especially at the climax of the story. We\u2019re about to see that in tonight\u2019s episode \u201cGranite State\u201d.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve long held that the Lydia storyline of Breaking Bad is going to come to a head. I\u2019m not talking Uncle Jake and company. I think it\u2019s going to be Lydia\u2019s buyers in the Czech Republic. She\u2019s been extremely worried about the quality of \u201cthe product\u201d. She uses phrases like \u201cit\u2019s very important to me\u201d. I\u2019ll bet it\u2019s a lot more than that. I think she\u2019s scared. If this storyline is going to play out, it really has to tonight. What do I think will happen along those lines? I think that despite Jesse now working for Uncle Jack and Todd, the quality of what they\u2019re producing isn\u2019t going to be enough. I\u2019m betting that they\u2019re going to get a visit from people representing the Czech buyers, and it\u2019s not going to end well for Uncle Jack and Todd. They\u2019re either going to get killed, or get threatened to the point where they\u2019re going to try and get Walt to come back to cook.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen in the previews. Someone\u2019s going to threaten Walt\u2019s family. It could be the DEA, Uncle Jack and Todd, or the Czech buyers. Of the three, I think the possibility that it\u2019s the Czech buyers is the most interesting. There\u2019s always the possibility that if the word got back to the Mexican\/South American cartels that Walt is Heisenberg, they\u2019re try and go after him. <\/p>\n

At this point in the story, everything\u2019s up for grabs. We know from the flash forwards we\u2019ve seen that Walt is headed back from the \u201cGranite State\u201d, New Hampshire, where he\u2019s probably relocated since last episode. What would bring him back? A threat to his family. People are going to start getting killed (maybe even Walt Jr., if Skyler doesn\u2019t cooperate), and Walt\u2019s going to head back to exact some revenge for it. Walt\u2019s a smart guy. Whatever he ends up doing, there better be some chemistry involved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
