The following takes place between 10 am and 11 am <\/p>\n
10:00 am \u2013 Jack, Bill, Morris and Chloe are standing in a parking lot. They\u2019re still disoriented from the jump. It\u2019s dark out. A nearby sign for Gotham bank shows that the local time is 9 pm. <\/p>\n
They hear some screeching tires, and look around. A huge black car with large tail fins roars towards them. The car slams on the brakes, and slides to a halt about two feet away from Chloe. A valet gets out of the car, and says, \u201cOh! Sorry! I didn\u2019t see you there! The shuttle bus station is two rows over. That will take you up to the party.\u201d He presses a button the keys he\u2019s holding. The car doors lock, and the horn honks as its alarm system arms itself. Chloe mutters something about recharging her taser in case she sees that valet again.<\/p>\n
10:02 am \u2013 Jack says, \u201cWell, I guess that\u2019s where we\u2019re supposed to go.\u201d They start walking towards the shuttle pickup. <\/p>\n
Bill asks, \u201cIf that librarian\u2019s idea was right, the terrorists might have been here for hours now. Why haven\u2019t they been waiting for us?\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris says, \u201cIt\u2019s unlikely they know exactly where we\u2019ll end up. Any chance of them being in the right place to attack us right after we jump is pretty remote. I\u2019m surprised we end up close by at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cI\u2019ve been thinking\u2026 We\u2019ve… well, Jack\u2026 has been taking out these guys nearly every place we\u2019ve been to so far. You\u2019d think with the number of them that he\u2019s gotten so far, they\u2019d be gone. I think they\u2019re\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris interrupts, \u201cZombies.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201c\u2019Zombies\u2019? That\u2019s just stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris puts his hand to his check and very sarcastically says, \u201cHmmm\u2026 well let\u2019s see now\u2026 We just came from a place where vampires are roaming around freely, and nobody but a bunch of teenagers seem to be aware that the whole town is overrun with them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cYeah\u2026 ok, but\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris continues, \u201c\u2026And last year, you told me that you saw Edgar again, apparently risen from the dead as a robot.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe\u2019s eyes narrow. \u201cYou leave Edgar out of this!\u201d<\/p>\n
10:04 am – Bill says, \u201cStop it, you two! We can\u2019t be arguing like this. We have to figure out what we\u2019re doing here. Jack\u2026 Jack?\u201d Bill looks around. Jack has stopped and is standing ten feet behind them. He\u2019s using his PDA. Bill repeats, \u201cJack!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack looks up, \u201cHuh? What? \u2026Hey, I had a thought. I did some quick MTTTS calculations, and realized that the terrorists we\u2019ve been chasing aren\u2019t the same people all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bill looks confused, \u201cMTTS?\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cMean Time To Thigh Shot.\u201d She turns to Jack, \u201cWhat do you mean, \u2018They\u2019re not the same people\u2019?\u201d
\nJack says, \u201cI don\u2019t think the people we think we\u2019ve been chasing are the same people each time. I think they might have been in these locations already.\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris says, \u201cWhat makes you say that?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack continues, \u201cThink about it\u2026 If these guys always knew we were chasing after them, they wouldn\u2019t be ignoring the fact that we\u2019ve been coming after them. Besides, if they knew we were after them, they wouldn\u2019t be sending small groups of them after us. They\u2019d send everyone they had.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cWhat if they\u2019re sending replacements through that doorway we went through? And what about that man with the voice altering device that wears that mask over his face? He\u2019s been in every place we\u2019ve been to\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Bill says, \u201cNot in that canyon. I don\u2019t remember seeing him in that canyon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack interrupts, \u201cWait\u2026 If they were still sending replacements, don\u2019t you think they would have been in that warehouse room that we were in? Fenster would never have been able to make that phone call to us. He would have been caught.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe shrugs, \u201cLook, all I\u2019m saying is, someone\u2019s been tipping them off that we\u2019re around. I still think it\u2019s that guy in the mask.\u201d<\/p>\n
10:06 am – The shuttle arrives. The shuttle has a sign that reads, \u201cMuseum of Art\u201d. They all get on.<\/p>\n
The shuttle takes them to the Gotham Museum of Art. There\u2019s a picture of a man on the building, and underneath the picture are the words, \u201cOur Founder: Art\u201d. Above the doors leading into the museum is a sign that reads, \u201cWayne Industries Gala\u201d. People get off the shuttle and enter the museum. Some people in expensive cars have opted to drive directly to the museum, and have valets take their cars to the parking lot.<\/p>\n
Jack, Chloe, Morris and Bill follow the crowd into the museum and up the stairs to the reception area.<\/p>\n

10:10 am \u2013 The museum reception area is quite large, with tables around the outside walls. The tables are full of appetizers, which the caterers and wait staff continuously replenish. Jack tells Chloe, Morris and Bill to keep an eye out for anything unusual as they help themselves to the hors d\u2019oeuvres.<\/p>\n
A stage with men in tuxedos and women in long dresses is at one end of the reception area. The stage has a banner over it: \u201cMuseum of Art Thanks Bruce Wayne\u201d. Art, the man picture on the front of the museum, walks onto the stage and to the microphone at a podium. He says, \u201cThank you all for coming tonight. I\u2019d especially like to thank Bruce Wayne of Wayne Industries for organizing this fund raising event, and for making a very generous donation to the museum. I\u2019d like him to say a few words\u201d.<\/p>\n
10:12 am – The crowd bursts into applause and Bruce Wayne approaches the podium. He waves at the crowd, and the applause dies down. He starts to speak, but is interrupted by a loud bang from somewhere above. Everyone looks up. There\u2019s a clown with green hair and a white face with a megaphone in his hand, standing on the rafters. Someone gasps, \u201cThe Joker!\u201d<\/p>\n
The Joker says, \u201cA party? And me without an invitation!\u201d He laughs maniacally. \u201cThat\u2019s OK. I\u2019ve been helping with the catering.\u201d Everyone looks at the tables, but the caterers are gone. The clown continues, \u201cUnless you meet my demands, everyone here is going to break out into fits of uncontrollable laugher in six hours.\u201d The crowd gasps.<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cOh, great! That\u2019s just great! I go off my diet long enough to eat some hors d\u2019oeuvres, and now I find out they\u2019re poisoned! Jack, what are we going to do? Jack?\u201d She looks around, but doesn\u2019t see Jack. \u201cMorris! Where\u2019s Jack?\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris continues to look up at The Joker, . He says, \u201cI don\u2019t know. Maybe he went to the bathroom to throw up…\u201d<\/p>\n
10:14 am – A voice from the stage says, \u201cYou\u2019ll never get away with this, Joker!\u201d Everyone looks towards the stage, and a man in spandex tights, a mask and a cape is at the microphone. A young man, with a mask over his eyes, a cape and tights is standing next to him. <\/p>\n
The Joker says, \u201cWhy if it isn\u2019t the Fatman and side kick the Boy Blunder! You won\u2019t stop us this time! We\u2019ve got reinforcements!\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris says, \u201cA clown yelling ransom demands at a man dressed in a mask and tights is definitely one of the weirder things we\u2019ve seen.\u201d<\/p>\n
10:15 am – Bill points up and says, \u201cLook! It\u2019s Jack!\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe and Morris look over to see Jack climbing up one of the banners, trying to reach The Joker. The Joker seems completely oblivious to Jack. <\/p>\n
Batman asks, \u201cWho have you teamed up with this time? The Penguin?\u201d<\/p>\n
The Joker says, \u201cNo, I heard he\u2019s in sunny Philadelphia.\u201d<\/p>\n
Batman asks, \u201cMr. Freeze?\u201d<\/p>\n
The Joker says, \u201cNo, he\u2019s in California. I think he ran for office out there.\u201d The Joker laughs. \u201cNo, you can guess all you want, but you\u2019ll never guess who it is.\u201d<\/p>\n
10:16 am – The Joker has remained distracted long enough for Jack to reach the top of the banner and to swing himself up onto the rafter. Jack sneaks along the rafter towards the Joker, who finally notices him. <\/p>\n
The Joker laughs, \u201cHoo hoo! Someone who thinks he can outwit me! Come here my boy!\u201d He holds out his hands as if giving up. \u201cI\u2019ll come along peacefully.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack takes another step and slips. He looses his balance and tries to grab onto the rafter as he falls, but can\u2019t hold on. He grabs the banner, and is able to keep himself from falling to the floor. The Joker laughs and says, \u201cOh! Didn\u2019t I tell you? A bit of banana wax works wonders on rafters to keep them nice and shiny!\u201d<\/p>\n
10:18 am – The Joker turns back to Batman and grimaces, \u201cTell Commissioner Gordon he has six hours to deliver 10 million dollars to me at the Old Street Pier!\u201d The Joker climbs to the center of the dome, which opens up. A rope ladder drops down, which The Joker grabs. He grabs onto it and is lifted through the dome.<\/p>\n
Whatever influence everyone has been under while watching the exchange between Batman and The Joker wears off, because now that The Joker has left there\u2019s general pandemonium in the museum. People are saying things like, \u201cWhat do we do?\u201d, \u201cBatman will save us\u201d, and \u201cWill there be more food?\u201d<\/p>\n
10:19 am – The police arrive at the museum, and look up. The Chief of Police tells some of his men, \u201cGet that man down off the banner! I want to talk to him!\u201d<\/p>\n
Commercial<\/p>\n
10:23 am – Batman is talking with Commissioner Gordon in the commissioner\u2019s office as the Police Chief enters the room with Jack. Chloe, Morris and Bill follow close behind. The Police Chief says, \u201cBatman\u2026 Commissioner\u2026 Here\u2019s the man that tried to apprehend The Joker.\u201d<\/p>\n
Batman says, \u201cThank you citizen! We appreciate your enthusiasm in trying to apprehend the dastardly doer of these dreadful deeds, but you have to leave these things to the professionals. Here, everyone take these pills, they\u2019re an antidote.\u201d He hands a pill to everyone.<\/p>\n
10:24 am – Chloe can\u2019t contain herself any longer. \u201cProfessionals? You were just standing there! Hundreds of people poisoned, and you were just standing here.\u201d She steps closer to him, and taps him in the chest with her finger. \u201cYou were just standing there, while Jack tried to catch that guy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe keeps tapping Batman on the chest and then suddenly stops. She says, \u201cHey! You\u2019re Bruce Wayne!\u201d <\/p>\n
Batman looks shocked, but quickly recovers. \u201cI\u2026 I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe turns to everyone in the room. \u201cIt is! It\u2019s Bruce Wayne!\u201d Jack, Morris and Bill step forward for a closer look.<\/p>\n
Commissioner Gordon says, \u201cBruce Wayne? Batman? Why that\u2019s preposterous! I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve heard anything so ridiculous in all my life!\u201d<\/p>\n
10:26 am – The young man with the mask and tights comes into the room. \u201cBatman! I parked the Batmobile downstairs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe becomes more insistent. \u201cThat\u2019s Bruce Wayne!\u201d Now Robin looks shocked and surprised. She continues, \u201cLook, I\u2019m sure you two like dressing up in tights, running around, and doing what ever you like to do, and not that there\u2019s anything wrong with that. I\u2019m telling you, you\u2019re not fooling anyone with those disguises\u201d <\/p>\n
Robin says, \u201cUh, no ma\u2019am! That\u2019s not Bruce Wayne! Whatever gave you that idea?\u201d<\/p>\n
10:27 am – Batman says, \u201cCommissioner, I believe we have more pressing matters to discuss. I sent Bruce Wayne the antidote formula, which he promised to have one of his pharmaceutical laboratories manufacture right away. The first shipment should be sent here soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
The police chief turns to Chloe and says, \u201cThere, you see? Batman couldn\u2019t be Bruce Wayne because they talked together, and Mr. Wayne will be sending us more of the antidote to hand out.\u201d<\/p>\n
10:28 am – Chloe is exasperated. \u201cAre you people dense? He\u2019s the same guy! That\u2019s not even a decent disguise!\u201d She thinks for a moment. \u201cHey! I bet you\u2019ve never even seen the two of them together before.\u201d She looks self-satisfied. \u201cBet you can\u2019t explain that!\u201d<\/p>\n
The chief looks smug, \u201cWell, as a matter of fact, Miss Know-It-All, I have seen them together. A few times. And in this very office!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cChloe, let\u2019s just drop it. Quit picking a fight with him. From what The Joker was saying, I\u2019m sure the people we\u2019re after are with him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Batman blurts out, \u201cI can prove it!\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cOK. Go ahead!\u201d<\/p>\n

10:34 am – Everyone remains in the commissioner\u2019s office while they wait for Batman and Robin to return with Bruce Wayne. Robin enters the room and announces, \u201cMr. Bruce Wayne, and Batman!\u201d<\/p>\n
Bruce Wayne enters the room, and shakes hands with Commissioner Gordon. A moment later, Batman walks in, but a decidedly taller (and older) Batman. There\u2019s a white mustache peeking out of the cowl \u201cBatman\u201d is wearing.<\/p>\n
Bruce says, \u201cI received the information from Batman, and the antidote delivery will be here in the next couple of hours, Commissioner Gordon. I was told there was a Doubting Thomasina here, and she thought that\u2026Ha! I was Batman. As you can see, I\u2019m clearly not.\u201d He points at \u201cBatman\u201d, who waves at everyone.<\/p>\n
10:36 am – Chloe flips out. \u201cAre you kidding me? He\u2019s at least a foot taller! Bruce Wayne sounds EXACTLY like Batman! This other guy even has a moustache! How can you people not see that??\u201d<\/p>\n
The Police Chief says, \u201cLook, miss\u2026 I think it\u2019s time to go now.\u201d<\/p>\n
10:37 am – Commissioner Gordon says, \u201cMr. Bauer, I\u2019d like to thank you for trying to help us, but I think Batman has this well in hand.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bruce Wayne says, \u201cI think he was being an exemplary citizen. If we had more people like him doing good, we would have a lot less evil in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
Commission Gordon says, \u201cThat sounds like something Batman would say. Well said, Bruce.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe screams, \u201cARGH! Come on, you guys! Let\u2019s get out of here!\u201d She storms out of the room. Jack, Bill, and Morris follow her out.<\/p>\n
10:38 am \u2013 The hallway is completely empty. Jack says, \u201cThat hasn\u2019t helped us find out where the terrorists are.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cSorry, Jack. I just don\u2019t like it when something obviously stupid is happening.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bill says, \u201cHow long have you worked at CTU now? I would have thought you\u2019d be immune to stupid by now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bruce Wayne, \u201cBatman\u201d and Robin leave Commissioner Gordon\u2019s office. Chloe doesn\u2019t say anything, and watches as they leave.<\/p>\n
They reach the stairs and \u201cBatman\u201d stumbles, says, \u201cMaster Bruce!\u201d and collapses. Robin says, \u201cAlfred! Help him, Bruce!\u201d <\/p>\n
Chloe hears this and yells, \u201cI KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!\u201d She points at Alfred, and turns to Jack, \u201cSee? See that! I was right. He has a white mustache too!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack rushes over to see what\u2019s wrong. Bruce says, \u201cI think it\u2019s the heat. Robin, we have to get him out of this costume before anyone sees him. Let\u2019s get him into the Batroom.\u201d<\/p>\n
10:40 am – Jack helps carry Alfred into the bathroom, and get him out of the Batman costume. Alfred is wearing a dark suit under the costume. Bruce pulls out a pill from the belt of the costume, and gives it to Alfred, along with some water. Bruce says, \u201cI told him not to wear that suit underneath the costume.\u201d <\/p>\n
Robin says, \u201cHe was afraid of chaffing.\u201d <\/p>\n
Bruce says, \u201cIf only he had worn the Batunderwear. I think he\u2019ll be OK, but we\u2019ve got a problem. How do we leave here with the Batmobile, without someone getting suspicious? They saw me enter the building as Bruce Wayne.\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin says, \u201cHoly Double Dilemmas! Unless\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Bruce says, \u201cWhat, old chum?\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin says, \u201cUnless we get Jack here to step in for you\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack realizes what this means. \u201cWhat? Wait a minute, now! I\u2019ll help you friend, but I\u2019m not getting into that costume.\u201d<\/p>\n

10:46 am – Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Robin, and Jack dressed as Batman exit police headquarters. Bill, Chloe and Morris follow at a safe distance, giggling. Chloe is carrying Jack\u2019s clothes.<\/p>\n
Bruce tells Robin, \u201cYou go back to Wayne manor. Get changed, and come back with a car for Alfred and I. We\u2019ll be waiting here.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack tells Bruce, \u201cYou just make sure Chloe is here with my clothes when we get back.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack and Robin get into the Batmobile. Robin gives Jack directions back to Wayne manor and they head off.<\/p>\n
Jack tries to make some small talk with Robin, and Robin confesses that it\u2019s pretty tough being a crime fighter. \u201cIt\u2019s a lot harder to get a date than you\u2019d think. Women make a lot of assumptions about men that wear tights.\u201d<\/p>\n
10:48 am – About halfway to Wayne Manor, a bright light shines in the sky. Robin yells, \u201cThe Bat Signal!\u201d He presses a button on the dashboard of the Batmobile. A panel slides down, revealing a red telephone hand set that\u2019s blinking. Robin answers the phone. \u201cYes. Yes, Commissioner. We\u2019ll be there right away.\u201d He hangs up the phone.<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cI have GOT to get myself one of those signals! I love that!\u201d He gets a far away look on his face. \u201cThe Jack Signal!\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin says, \u201cJack! Snap out of it!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack realizes he\u2019s been day dreaming and says, \u201cWhat did the Commissioner want?\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin says, \u201cThe Joker was sighted at the Abandoned Warehouse in downtown Gotham City with some people dressed in black. This might be our only chance to catch him! Oh, Bruce isn\u2019t going to like this one bit.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cWhere\u2019s the warehouse?\u201d<\/p>\n
10:50 am – Robin gives him directions, and Jack slams on the brakes to turn around. The car does a 180 and heads back toward Gotham City.<\/p>\n
Jack asks Robin, \u201cYou wouldn\u2019t by any chance know how to put up a perimeter, would you?\u201d Robin admits that he doesn\u2019t. Jack says, \u201cWell, it was worth a shot.\u201d<\/p>\n
Commercial<\/p>\n
10:56 am – Jack and Robin pull up in front of the warehouse. Robin says, \u201cWhy are they always in \u2018abandoned\u2019 warehouses?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cHey! We\u2019ve always wondered that too!\u201d They get out of the car. \u201cLet\u2019s go inside.\u201d<\/p>\n
As they head towards the building, Jack catches one of his gloves on the utility belt around his waist and stops to free himself. One of the compartments opens. Jack looks down and reaches in. He says, \u201cWhat is this?\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin turns around and says, \u201cBe careful! There are some very advanced weapons in that belt, and you might set one of them off!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack looks at what he\u2019s holding, sniffs it and then pops it in his mouth. \u201cHey! Gummi Bears!\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin says, \u201cUh\u2026yeah. He likes those too. He calls them Gummi Bats. He adds \u2018Bat\u2019 to everything. It\u2019s always \u2018Bat\u2019 this and \u2018Bat\u2019 that\u2026\u201d He trails off, and then says, \u201c\u2026Well, anyway just be careful with anything else you\u2019ve got on your belt there.\u201d <\/p>\n
Jack heads for an entrance to the building, but Robin stops him by asking \u201cWhere are you going?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cUh\u2026.Inside? Isn\u2019t that the idea?\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin shakes his head. \u201cBatman never goes into the building through the front door. Get the Bat Hook out.\u201d Robin pulls a device off of his belt and holds it up. It fires and shoots a cable to the top of the building. Jack looks around at his belt, finds the same type of device, and shoots it. Robin says, \u201cCome on!\u201d<\/p>\n
They climb their way up the building to the roof, and enter the building through a service door. The inside of the building is decorated as a fun house. The carefully walk downstairs. They look around and don\u2019t see anyone. Robin says, \u201cIt looks like the coast is\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Two men drop down from above Jack and Robin, landing on top of them. Music starts from somewhere. Jack turns and punches one of the men. A loud \u201cBIFF!\u201d noise comes out of the speakers. Jack yells over the music, \u201cWhat the heck was that?\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin punches the man that attacked him, and a \u201cPOW!\u201d noise comes out of the speakers. Robin yells, \u201cBatman and I have been trying to figure out that for years. Every time we fight people, we hear music and sound effects!\u201d<\/p>\n
10:57 am – Over the music and sound effects, they can hear The Joker laughing. Jack looks over and sees the masked man standing next to The Joker. He hears the man\u2019s mechanical voice say, \u201cShoot him! Shoot him!\u201d The Joker is too busy laughing, and doesn\u2019t do anything. The masked man takes a gun from the Joker\u2019s pocket and takes aim at Jack. Jack ducks out of the way, and looks around for anything he can use as a weapon. He reaches down and pulls out a boomerang. He looks to see if the coast is clear, and sees that the masked man is still holding the gun, but it has a small flag that says, \u201cBANG!\u201d coming out of the barrel. Jack says, \u201cStop or I\u2019ll throw this boomerang\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Robin whispers, \u201cBat-erang!\u201d, as he punches (\u201cZING!\u201d) the man he\u2019s fighting with.
\nJack coughs, \u201c..Uh, I mean, Bat-erang!\u201d<\/p>\n
The man drops the gun and runs to an exit. Jack throws the Bat-erang at the man running for the exit, but misses. Fortunately it returns and hits the man Jack is fighting (\u201cZOWEE!\u201d) in the back of the head. He falls to the floor and Jack runs to the exit to go after the masked man. He comes out of the building, but doesn\u2019t see anyone.<\/p>\n
Police cars arrive. The Police Chief and Commissioner Gordon arrive with Chloe, Morris and Bill in the back seat of the car.<\/p>\n
10:59 am – There\u2019s a bright flash.<\/p>\n
Chloe, Morris, Jack and Bill are standing in an office parking lot. Jack is still wearing the Batman costume.<\/p>\n
