24 \u2013 Two Days Later \u2013 Hour 19<\/p>\n
The following takes place between 1 pm and 2 pm<\/p>\n
1:00 pm \u2013 Fenster says, \u201cJack? Jack!\u201d and slams down the telephone. He looks at the computer monitor above the doorway. The monitor shows Jack, Morris, Chloe and Bill standing on scaffolding next to the tip of a rocket.<\/p>\n
1:01 pm \u2013 Bill lets out a yell when he realizes he\u2019s standing high up in the air and grabs on to the scaffolding. A moment later, shots are fired. Jack looks down and sees that one level below them, a man in a black astronaut suit is trying to break into the rocket. Below that, on the ground, more men dressed in black are trying to do something with the rocket. One of them is firing a gun at them.<\/p>\n
Everyone scrambles to avoid being shot, including Bill who scrambles with the precision of someone attempting to scramble while still holding on for dear life. <\/p>\n
1:04 pm – Jack searches his pockets for something he can use, and realizes he still has on Batman\u2019s utility belt. He pulls out a grappling hook with a line attached to it. He lets some of the line out and attaches the hook to a pole above him. He yells, \u201cI sure hope this works!\u201d and swings out and away from the rocket in a wide arc.<\/p>\n
He swings around and back towards the man in the black astronaut suit. The man turns just in time to see Jack\u2019s feet hit him in the face, and proceeds to learn the law of gravity the hard way as the pavement below breaks his fall, and him. <\/p>\n
1:06 pm – Chloe and Morris run down to this level just in time to see Jack\u2019s momentum carry him past where he wanted to gracefully land. He continues to ungracefully fall further down the rocket, still holding on to the line. The line suddenly pulls tight as Jack uses up all of the slack. He heads right back towards the scaffold. He hits one of the scaffold poles, lets go of the line and starts to slide down the pole. He has the presence of mind to try and stop himself. Unfortunately, gravity has other ideas and keeps pulling him towards the ground. He grabs onto one of the floor grates as he passes, and pulls himself onto the floor. One of the terrorists yells, \u201cHe\u2019s not dead! Plan 2 is set! Run for it!\u201d Sirens in the distance and jeeps heading towards the rocket cause the men at the base of the rocket to run away. Jack rolls over and sees them running away. He gets up and starts running down the stairs.<\/p>\n
1:08 pm – Meanwhile, Morris and Chloe look through a window and see an astronaut inside the compartment the man was trying to break into. Morris yells for Bill to come down from the level above them as he and Chloe both try to open the door to let out the astronaut who\u2019s trapped inside. They knock on the window and give the astronaut the thumbs up, and OK signs, trying to tell him that everything is alright. The astronaut comes to the door and starts to open the hatch as Chloe and Morris hear someone behind them. Morris says, \u201cBill, help me with this door!\u201d<\/p>\n
1:09 pm – Morris turns around and a short blonde woman dressed in a pink belly dancing outfit. He says, \u201cUh, Chloe? Did you order a belly dancer with a missing belly button?\u201d <\/p>\n
Chloe continues to struggle with the door and says, \u201cMorris, quit goofing around!\u201d The woman folds her arms, nods her head, and blinks. Morris disappears!<\/p>\n
When he doesn\u2019t respond, Chloe says, \u201cMorris? Morris?\u201d She turns around and sees the woman. The woman is folding her arms again, ready to make Chloe disappear too.<\/p>\n
The astronaut yells something, but it\u2019s muffled because his visor is still down. He pulls off his helmet, and yells, \u201cJeannie! Stop it! They were helping me!\u201d <\/p>\n
1:10 pm – Chloe and Jeannie help the astronaut out of the space capsule, and as they do, they hear Jack yelling to them from the ground, \u201cGet out of here! This thing is going to blow!\u201d Jack struggles with something that\u2019s been attached to the rocket. <\/p>\n
The astronaut looks down, at what Jack is doing and says, \u201cJeannie! Get us out of here!\u201d Jeannie folds her arms and blinks again.<\/p>\n
Commercial<\/p>\n
1:15 pm – They all find themselves in an office. Chloe is disoriented. Jack is attempting to disable thin air. Bill holds on to the edge of a desk with all his might. Morris is nowhere to be seen. <\/p>\n
The astronaut says, \u201cNow, I know that was a little disorienting, but let me explain\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cNo need to explain, we do that sort of thing all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
The astronaut and Jeannie look at each other, surprised, and then look at Chloe and Jack. The astronaut says, \u201cWhat? Really? I\u2019m\u2026 I\u2019m surprised.. but if you\u2019ve\u2026 Oh, never mind. My name is Tony Nelson. You\u2019ve met Jeannie.\u201d He shakes Jack\u2019s hand. Jack introduces everyone.<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cWe\u2019ve been chasing after those terrorists for some time now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony asks, \u201cHow do you know they\u2019re terrorists?\u201d<\/p>\n
Bill says, \u201cWell, the whole \u201cshooting, planting explosives and wearing a black space suit was a giveaway to me\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
1:18 pm – In the warehouse, Fenster reads out of a manual titled \u201cMoron\u2019s Guide to Evil Computers\u201d while trying to adjust some knobs on the console he\u2019s standing in front of. He turns several knobs, double checks the manual, and then presses a button. The lights go out.<\/p>\n
1:20 pm – Chloe looks around. She says, \u201cWait a minute! Where\u2019s Morris? What did you do with Morris?\u201d The door to the office starts to open. Jeannie looks panicked. She folds her arms, blinks and disappears. <\/p>\n
1:21 pm – A colonel walks into the room, and is surprised to see Tony and everyone else in the room. \u201cMajor Nelson! What are you doing here? I thought you were scheduled to go into orbit this morning?\u201d<\/p>\n
Major Nelson says, \u201cDr Bellows! I\u2019m so glad to see you!\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr Bellows says, \u201cYou are?\u201d<\/p>\n
Major Nelson says, \u201cYes! We have to get the MPs! I was scheduled to be on that flight. I was all suited up and ready to go and someone hit me from behind. I must have been dazed, because the next thing I knew, I was here in my office.\u201d<\/p>\n
1:24 pm – A very loud explosion can be heard from somewhere outside. Dr. Bellows yells, \u201cThat sounded like a nuclear weapon!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cNo, those sound a LOT different.\u201d Major Nelson and Dr. Bellows run to the office window and look out. The rocket that was on the launch pad has exploded!<\/p>\n
Commercial<\/p>\n
1:29 pm – Fenster has gotten the lights back on in the warehouse, but still hasn\u2019t figured out how to get into the computer, because it is password protected and he can\u2019t find any yellow sticky notes on the monitor that might give him a hint.<\/p>\n
He looks up at the TV screen, and sees that Jack is talking to someone from the military and an astronaut. He can\u2019t hear what they\u2019re saying, but moves closer to the screen to have a better look. As he\u2019s watching, he looks over and sees a small display next to the doorway. It has a countdown timer and reads:<\/p>\n
31 minutes

\nScranton, PA<\/p>\n
Fenster taps on the display, but nothing happens.<\/p>\n
1:30 pm – Back in the office, Dr. Bellows continues to talk to Major Nelson. \u201cWe need a description of the people that did this. What did this man that hit you look like?\u201d<\/p>\n
Major Nelson says, \u201cWell, it all happened so fast, I\u2019m not sure. I was hit from behind\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
1:31 pm -Another man walks into the office. \u201cDr. Bellows! We\u2019ve been looking all over for you. Tony\u2019s space capsule just exploded on the launch pad! He\u2019s dead! It\u2019s terrible! You have to come with me!\u201d<\/p>\n
He looks over at Major Nelson, and says, \u201cHi, Tony\u201d He looks back at Dr. Bellows and then does a double take, looking back at Major Nelson. \u2018TONY!\u201d He runs up and hugs Major Nelson. \u201cThank God you\u2019re all right! What happened? Who are these people?\u201d He points at Jack, Bill and Chloe.<\/p>\n
Major Nelson says, \u201cUm\u2026. You know my cousins, Roger!\u201d<\/p>\n
Roger looks at Jack and says, \u201cWhat a coincidence! My name is \u2018Roger\u2019 too!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cI think you misunderstood. My name\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Roger looks at Chloe. \u201cYour name is Roger too? A woman? That\u2019s pretty unusual. All the people in my family named \u2018Roger\u2019 were guys!\u201d<\/p>\n
1:33 pm – Dr. Bellows says, \u201cEnough of this!\u201d He turns to Major Nelson. \u201cThese are your relatives? I don\u2019t recall seeing their names on the VIP list\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Major Nelson says, \u201cWell\u2026 Yes! They were my guests today for the launch.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack nods in agreement. \u201cYes! That\u2019s right. We were here as guests of Maj\u2026 I mean Tony.\u201d<\/p>\n
Roger says, \u201cCousins? You said all your cousins were in Montan\u2026 OUCH!\u201d Major Nelson stamps on Roger\u2019s foot.<\/p>\n
Dr. Bellows squints his eyes, \u201cThere\u2019s something not right about this. I don\u2019t know what it is, but there\u2019s something that\u2019s not right.\u201d He starts to leave, and stops at the door. He says, \u201cI\u2019m sure the base commanders are going to want to speak to you about this incident, but considering you\u2019ve been hit in the head, I think it would be best for you to go home and get some bed rest. I\u2019ll be checking in with you later.\u201d He leaves.<\/p>\n
1:36 pm – Bill finally loosens his grip on the desk and says, \u201cA major explosion happens, you\u2019re involved, and he sends you HOME? Wow, security is pretty lax around here.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe asks Bill, \u201cWhat are you talking about? You\u2019ve done the same thing\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Roger holds his foot and asks Tony, \u201cWhat did you do that for? That really hurt!\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony says, \u201cI had to stop you from talking! Someone tried to break into my capsule, and set a bomb to blow it up! We have to figure this out\u2026 and away from here.\u201d He looks up and yells, \u201cJeannie!\u201d<\/p>\n
The blonde woman reappears out of thin air. \u201cYes, Master?\u201d She looks over to Roger and says, \u201cOh hello, Major Healey.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony says, \u201cJeannie, I want you to take us all back home. We have to figure out what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Roger says, \u201cI\u2019m going to have to get back to see Dr. Bellows. I\u2019ll be by later this afternoon.\u201d<\/p>\n
1:39 pm – Jeannie blinks. They all disappear, and Roger leaves the room.<\/p>\n
Commercial<\/p>\n
1:44 pm – At the warehouse, Fenster realizes he forgot something. He grabs a phone and dials the number for CTU. No one answers. He looks down at his watch. \u201cFigures! Those people ALWAYS take long lunches.\u201d<\/p>\n
1:45 pm – At Tony\u2019s home, Jeannie serves everyone a drink. Tony asks, \u201cWhat were you people doing up there anyway? How did you know that was going to happen?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cWe didn\u2019t. It\u2019s a long story.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe takes a sip, looks around the room, and says, \u201cHey! You never told me what happened to Morris? Where is he?\u201d She looks at Jeannie, \u201cYou know\u2026 The bald guy that was with me, trying to get Tony out of that capsule\u2026 Before it EXPLODED?\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony asks Jeannie, \u201cOh no! Jeannie, what did you do with him?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeannie says, \u201cSorry, Master!\u201d She blinks and Morris reappears.<\/p>\n
1:47 pm – Morris gasps for air, see Jeannie and says, \u201cStay away from me!\u201d He looks at Chloe, and says, \u201cIt was horrible! Horrific images kept flashing before my eyes!\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe asks, \u201cWhere were you?\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris says, \u201cI was forced to listen to celebrities pretend they understood politics!\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe gasps.<\/p>\n
1:48 pm – Jack tells them both to quiet down. He turns to Tony and says, \u201cWhy would anyone want to blow up the rocket you were in?\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony says, \u201cI have no idea! I don\u2019t have any enemies!\u201d He stands up and walks around the room. \u201cThe Soviets have their own space program. I doubt they\u2019d be desperate enough to try and sabotage ours just to make their program look better.\u201d He walks to the front window to look out over his front lawn and laughs, \u201cIt\u2019s not like someone is trying to assassinate me!\u201d<\/p>\n
These words startle Jack when he realizes the implications of what Tony just said. He jumps up from his chair, yells, \u201cGet down!\u201d and tackles Tony. A gun fires from somewhere outside. A bullet hole is in the window right where Tony was standing. The glass Chloe was holding has been shattered. She yelps and hits the floor. Everyone else decides that\u2019s a good idea too, and also hit the floor.<\/p>\n
Tony gasps as he stays low to the floor, \u201cHow did you know that was going to happen?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack says, \u201cUm\u2026 experience\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
1:50 pm – They hear footsteps upstairs. They hear a dog bark and a man scream. The man stumbles down the stairs, desperately moving his feet as if trying to shake something off of them. He falls down the stairs. <\/p>\n
Jack jumps up and grabs the man. The man tries to hit Jack over the head with a bottle, while at the same time trying to shake something off of his leg. Jeannie screams, runs over and grabs the bottle away from the man as Jack wrestles the man into submission. Jack pulls out a rope from his Batman utility belt and ties the man\u2019s hands. The man continues scream and kick his feet.<\/p>\n
Jeannie says, \u201cDjinn Djinn! Good boy! Come here!\u201d A dog appears beside Jeannie, and she bends down to pet him. The man stops kicking his feet. <\/p>\n
Tony mutters, \u201cI hate that dog\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack pulls the man to his feet, and pushes him against the wall, yelling \u201cWhat are you doing here? What do you want?\u201d The man doesn\u2019t say anything. Jack looks around, and then says, \u201cJeannie, bring that dog back over here.\u201d <\/p>\n
The man gets a wild look on his face and says, \u201cNo! No! Not that! I\u2019ll tell you! I was just sent here to get the bottle, that\u2019s all! I don\u2019t know anything else!\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack seems satisfied with this answer, so he punches the guy in the face, knocking him out. He walks over to Jeannie. \u201cWhat\u2019s so special about that bottle?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeannie says, \u201cWhy, it\u2019s my bottle! It\u2019s my home!\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe gives Jeannie a strange look. \u201cYour \u2026 home?\u201d <\/p>\n
Jeannie says, \u201cYes! Let me show you!\u201d She sets the bottle down on the table, folds her arm and blinks. She and Chloe both dissolve into two streams of smoke, both of which go into the bottle!<\/p>\n
1:52 pm – Chloe and Jeannie rematerialize inside of the bottle. There is a set of circular purple cushions up against the room\u2019s walls. Orange pillows sit on top of the cushions.<\/p>\n
Chloe looks around, up, and then at Jeannie. \u201cYou live in a bottle.\u201d Jeannie nods. \u201cYou\u2019re a real genie?\u201d Jeannie nods. \u201cA genie named Jeannie.\u201d <\/p>\n
Jeannie nods again, \u201cI prefer the term \u2018Genie-American\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n
Chloe lets out a sigh, sits down, and says, \u201cWell, now I\u2019ve heard everything.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeannie sits down next to Chloe and says, \u201cHow long has he been yours?\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe doesn\u2019t understand. \u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeannie says, \u201cThe blonde one. How long has he been your master?\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe jumps up, \u201cHey, now! He\u2019s not my master! I\u2019m not a genie! What made you think that?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeannie says, \u201cWell, when you said you went from place to place like that before, I just assumed that\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe says, \u201cWell, don\u2019t assume anything! I don\u2019t even think YOU should be calling Tony \u2018Master\u2019. It\u2019s degrading!<\/p>\n
A loud booming voice says, \u201cChloe?\u201d<\/p>\n
She looks up, and sees an eyeball staring back at her. She tells Jeannie, \u201cOK, that\u2019s it! Get me out of here!\u201d<\/p>\n
1:55 pm – Jeannie blinks and they both dissolve into smoke again. The smoke goes shooting out of the bottle, and Chloe and Jeannie rematerialize in the room.<\/p>\n
Chloe tells Jeannie, \u201cDon\u2019t EVER do that again.\u201d She looks at Jeannie\u2019s costume, and says \u201cStand up for yourself! Put on some real clothes and find a belly button, would you?\u201d<\/p>\n
Morris smirks and says, \u201cYou should have kept her in there. She\u2019d be easier to handle.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chloe gives him a dirty look.<\/p>\n
1:56 pm – Jack says, \u201cI\u2019m confused. Why would they want to steal an old bottle like that? And want Tony dead?\u201d <\/p>\n
Everyone thinks about this for a moment. Jeannie speaks up, very quietly, \u201cI think I might know.\u201d She looks very scared.<\/p>\n
Tony puts his arm around her. \u201cWhat is it? What\u2019s the matter?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeannie says, \u201cIf a genie\u2019s master dies, then the person who holds the bottle controls the genie.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bill snaps his fingers, \u201cThat\u2019s it! They must have wanted to kill you, and take Jeannie so they could use her magic!\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony says, \u201cWell, what can we do to stop that from happening?\u201d<\/p>\n
1:58 pm – Jack says, \u201cKeep that bottle in a very safe place. Without it, they won\u2019t be able to control Jeannie. I\u2019ll be willing to bet that once NASA does an analysis of the launch pad site, and they see the bullet hole here, they\u2019ll put extra security on you too. Besides, now that you know someone is after you, I doubt they\u2019ll try anything else, especially with Jeannie here to protect you.\u201d He looks over at Morris, who\u2019s over near the man that\u2019s been tied up. Morris is trying to shake something off of his feet. Jack says, \u201cAnd I think that dog will help protect things around here too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony asks, \u201cWhat do we do with that guy?\u201d He points at the tied-up man.<\/p>\n
1:59 pm – There\u2019s a bright flash.<\/p>\n
At the warehouse, Fenster continues to wait on hold for CTU, but no one answers the phone. He says to himself, \u201cLunch has to be over by now\u2026 Where could they be?\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack, Chloe, Morris and Bill are standing in a driveway. They hear a loud scream coming from across the street: \u201cABNER!\u201d<\/p>\n
