You might have noticed that a few of the episodes of “The Office” this season were written by some of the actors on the show. I noticed that Mindy Kaling (Kelly) was credited for a couple of the shows this season. Well, it turns out that it’s not that actors are writing for the show, it’s that writer’s are acting for the show. Slight difference there, but I think you can tell the difference.
There’s a good article on the Channel Island blog about how this happened. And it turns out that Mindy isn’t the only writer turned actor. Paul Lieberstein (Toby, the human resources guy) was also a writer for the show first, and has become a regular for the show.
