Apple has discountinued the iPod Mini.
In it’s place, Apple announced the iPod Nano, a flash memory based iPod. This thing is supposed to run 14 hours per charge, it weighs about 1.5 ounces, and is 0.27 inches thick. It comes in two sizes, 2GB for $199 (holds 500 songs), and 4GB for $249 (holds 1000 songs). |

dropped the Mac Mini offer that would have allowed consumers to try the Mac Mini for 30 days, and send it back if they didn’t like it.

Just throwing a random thought out here, but what if one of Apple’s announcements next week is a large capacity iPod Shuffle? Same price, just bigger capacity?
Rumors are flying fast about the event that Apple is holding at Moscone Center in California on September 7th. The latest guess is that
Apple, Motorola, and Cingular have teamed to release an iTunes phone. Currently guesses is that it’ll have between a 25 and 100 song capacity.
Whether that’s true or not…. well, we’ll find out soon enough.

Test Drive a Mac mini for 30 days.
Not a bad idea. This is just to sort of program to that might push those folks that are leaning towards trying out a Mac over the edge.
