Don LaFontaine, King of Voiceovers, Dies at 68
CNN is reporting that Don LaFontaine, the guy who did voice overs for movie trailers and many commercials has died. He’s “the voice” you’d recognize immediately when you heard the words “In a world….” at the beginning of those trailers. Over 5000 movie trailers, and 350,000 commercials. 60 Minutes did a piece on him several years back, while he was being chauffeured around to various jobs.

Star Trek Movie Delayed Until May 2009
Variety is reporting the JJ Abrams’ Star Trek movie has been delayed until May 2009 because the studio feels it can make more money in May than in December.
