Entertainment Weekly is reporting about two new characters coming to Lost Season 5. One is Caesar, described as a man who is “as skillful at charming people as he is at killing them”. The other is Ilanna, a woman who’s very intelligent, but “also dangerous as all get out”.
No idea when they’ll appear on the show. Since the season is going to take place both on and off the island, they could show up anywhere. I’m betting these are people the Oceanic 6 are going to encounter.
One of the new actors in season 4 was Charlotte, the red-head that we first saw dig up a polar bear skeleton in the desert. In an interview with IGN, she discusses what it’s like to be on a new show, what it’s like to be in Hawaii and how much the producers let her know about the show’s secrets:
Oh god, nothing! None of us know anything! It’s funny when people ask, “What do you guys do on your downtime in-between scenes? Do you all sit down and talk about the show?” I say, “No, none of us know anything. We’re all sitting there talking about the iPhone vs. the Blackberry,” you know what I mean? [Laughs] That’s about it.
I think the biggest hurdle for some shows to get over is the name. Buffy The Vampire Slayer is a show like that. It not only had a name that would make you think “There’s no way I’m watching a show called ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer'”, but it had a “OK” movie that proceeded it. And by “OK”, I mean “rent the thing if you don’t see anything else on the shelf”.
If you can make it over the hurdle and start watching the show, you’ll have one of those slap yourself in the forehead moments when you realize what you were missing. Buffy was that kind of show for me. I became a huge fan of the show in the last season, and “power watched” all the back episodes via DVD and reruns in about six months. That’s a lot of Buffy. The show finally ended, and besides the spin-off “Angel”, there was no more Buffy…
… But not so fast… Some of the folks behind Buffy tried to start up an animated series! Check this out:
I had no idea. Not sure if it’ll ever make it to television, but we can hope.
Sprint is running the “Create Your Own Hero” promotion for NBC’s “Heroes”, which will determine which Hero will appear in a live-action online series.
You can chose between Santiago, who has the abilities of moving quickly, and doing quick analysis of probabilities, and Audrey, who has the ability change other people’s speed. Check out the full descriptions on the Hero’s website.
After reading the descriptions, I picked Audrey. I think there’s some good potential in that kind of character.
Which Hero did you pick?
(Full disclosure: I was informed about this via M80 who’s contacted me on behalf of Sprint)
The Dharma Initiative is looking for new recruits. If you’re interested, check out their web site and register as a volunteer. Just takes a quick 17 question test.
(There are a LOT of people hitting the site right now, and it seems to be having problems, so be aware of that if you try and register).
