It’s LOST Premiere Night!
As expected, there are a LOT of articles about Lost in various papers today. I’ve gotten six of those together here so you can get your LOST fix before the show tonight:

I’ve been re-watching season 2 of Lost before the season premiere of Lost season 3 on October 4 th, 2006. The entire season revolved around the Hatch and the Button that needed to be pressed every 108 minutes.
What happens when the button is not pressed
Well, we sure found out what happened when the button was NOT pressed…. The first time Desmond missed pressing it, it brought down Oceanic flight 815 and brought the survivors to the island. When they narrowly missed pressing the button, a sequence of hieroglyphics came up, which caused all kinds of speculation about what the missing hieroglyphic character might be, and what the whole word or phrase might mean. The Boston globe has a brief story that reveals
the actress playing Rachel Blake this past summer is Jamie Silberhartz. It also says that Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were the people behind the whole Lost Experience this past summer.
Just a couple more days until LOST starts, and everyone and their brother is publishing Lost articles. Here’s another.
Lost was nearly shot in Australia, but Hawaii won out because it was “only” a five hour flight to the US mainland for the actors.
Apparently it was a last minute decision to change, since they were all ready to go scout locations in Queensland, and even New Zealand.

Throw out the theories that Walt is Psychic, that all the Lost characters are dead, and the “monster” isn’t a dinosaur, and you’re just left with more mysteries in LOST.

Take a hint: Characters — not symbols — make show.
While I agree with some of what he’s saying, I do have to point out that the show has been very popular to this point for the very things that he wants to change about the show: The mythology, puzzles, and the whole sense of “What the heck is going on here”.
Tinkering with something that’s working never ends up well. Let’s hope the show runners can keep a good balance, and not dump what’s made the show work.
